With a powerful and elegant stage presence Bronwyn is a crowd favourite wherever she goes. She has over 19 years of dance training and brings a wealth of practical instruction to every class, delivered with her characteristic funny and supportive teaching style.

Bronwyn began dancing with Canberra’s Raqs Sharqi School of Egyptian Dance in 1997, teaching from 1999. From 2001–2005 she taught and performed in Southeast Asia. She started learning tribal belly dance in 2006 with Fiona MacPherson of Tribalista Bellydance. In 2010 Bronwyn and Pippa Spice established Buasavanh Tribal Belly Dance, which has become Canberra’s premier ATS® troupe, and the only ATS® Sister Studio in the region. Specialising in improvised performances, Buasavanh performs in Canberra and the region as well as travelling to festivals in New South Wales as performers and teachers.

Bronwyn is an ATS® Certified Instructor and completed ‘General Skills’ in 2015. Her further studies with teachers such as Carolena Nericcio-Bohlman, Megha Gavin, Devi Mamak, Jacqueline Peperkamp, Evangeline Feary and American sword-mistress Sabine are enhanced by her foundation in Egyptian Folkloric dance.
