Evangeline Feary (SA) – Blending barefoot Flamenco with ATS®

Evangeline and her helpful assistants present a selection of Cinnabar Red dialect moves with their distinctive ‘silencio’ flamenco stylings, along with fabulous formations and seamless transitions to show them off from all angles.  User friendly combinations of both ATS® and flamenco fusion easily added to your improv repertoire, to suit all levels and allow everyone to look  beautiful while performing as a cohesive troupe.

Suitable for students, teachers, and anyone else with basic ATS® experience, this workshop provides the opportunity to experience performing as part of a large troupe.

Participants will have the opportunity to perform what they have learnt at Sunday’s Market day event as a group piece with members of Ruby Dhatura and Cinnabar Red, performance time TBA.  Costuming will be simply a red or black 25 yard skirt, flattering black top and red roses for the hair (maybe wear some pants under too!)

Evangeline Feary is the Director of Cinnabar Red Dance Collective & Ruby Dhatura.

2016 marks the 12th Anniversary of Evangeline’s obsession with American Tribal Style® Belly dance.

With a background in Visual Art and too many letters after her name, Evangeline brings her painter’s eye to her teaching and her performance troupe.  Respecting the framework of ATS®, Evangeline also embraces the creative freedom the rules provide to embellish and build the CRDC improvisational dialect with the help of her students and professional troupe.  Evangeline’s eye for detail, passion for exquisite costuming (and antique and vintage jewellery) and the fact that she is a stickler for impeccable technique, has provided her with a reputation of providing fun, inclusive and supportive classes. Evangeline’s dedication to her teaching and to her performance troupe was acknowledged with the invitation to perform and present a workshop at Womadelaide 2014.
